Summary of publication

This is the design document detailing Australia's proposed support to Indonesia to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes. The program objective is to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality over the longer term through near term improvements in maternal and neonatal service outcomes. The program began in 2008 and operates in 14 of the 21 districts in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) and district level governments with the aim that they progressively meet Millennium Development Goal targets for maternal and child health. The Program works through the government's own planning and budgeting processes.
