Summary of publication
The Reproductive Health Training Unit (RHTU) in Papua New Guinea is a Public-Private Partnership between the National Department of Health (NDoH) which endorses continuing professional development and training, the Australian Government as funders and Oil Search Foundation as grant manager and implementing partner.
This review found that RHTU was successful in implementing 128 courses, with 1,976 health workers attending from all provinces in PNG. The RHTU brand was well recognised across PNG and stakeholders recognised the courses as being endorsed by the NDoH. Communication tools were used effectively, such as a quarterly newsletter, website and detailed reports back to provinces.
