This document is a strategy that reflects the determination of Australia and Indonesia to work together to help tackle poverty and promote a prosperous, democratic and safe Indonesia. The document outlines a comprehensive plan of support which follows the post-Tsunami $1 billion Australia Indonesia Partnership for Reconstruction and Development program. It articulates that Australia's assistance to Indonesia is focused on promoting sustainable growth and economic management, improving service delivery, improving democracy, justice and good governance; and improving safety and peace. The Australian and Indonesian governments have agreed to extend the current country strategy until end 2014. This will allow the next strategy to align with Indonesia's Medium Term Development Plan.
