This document details the implementation plan for the second Pacific Regional Strategy on HIV and other Sexually Transmissible Infections including the background, objectives, management and budget.

The goal of the strategy is to reduce the spread and impact of HIV and other Sexually Transmitted Infections through improved:

  • prevention, testing, diagnosis, counselling and treatment services, and
  • policy and program leadership, information, communication and coordination.

Under the strategy, two planning teams will support country-level activities guided by country-level strategic plans. Management will be through a Fund Committee involving all stakeholders, a technical advisory group, a regional working group and a coordinating group.
