Indonesia Communities and Education Program in Aceh (2007–2009): Independent completion report

Summary of publication

This program commenced in February 2006 under the Australia Indonesia Partnership for Reconstruction and Development (AIPRD)–the Australian Government's five-year A$1 billion response to the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. It concluded in September 2009.

The $8.9 million Communities and Education Program in Aceh (CEPA) program commenced in February 2006 under the Australia Indonesia Partnership for Reconstruction and Development (AIPRD)–the Australian Government's five-year $1 billion response to the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. The program aimed to contribute to strengthening communities through rehabilitating schools and improving education quality in conflict-affected areas of Aceh. The program was announced following the peace agreement between the Indonesian Government and the Free Aceh Movement.

This Independent Completion Report evaluates Phase 2, from September 2007 to September 2009.
