Project Description
Creating sustainable cities has been recognised as a desirable future direction. Recent technological evolution has been embedded into urban development. Korea has a strong background on ICT while Australian cities emphasise environmental values in city management. The objective of this project is to develop partnerships for Smart Green City making by having two forums. One forum will be held in June 2017 in Seoul, Korea and the other will be in October-November 2017 in Melbourne, Australia. These forums will create a platform to increase awareness of Australian best practice in Korea and Korean best practice in Australia with respect to green and smart cities. The primary target of these events is practitioners, policy makers and scholars and these forums will be open to the public. For these collaborative forums, applicants in RMIT University have established strong connections with the Korean partner – Korea National Assembly Research Service.
