Global LYNCs 2016: Strengthening the Korean and Victoria Regional partnerships

Project summary

Sector: Building Cultural Understanding / Society and Culture
Country location: Japan, Republic of Korea, China
Grantee: Distance Education Centre Victoria

Project Description

Global LYNCs uses affordable, available telecommunication tools to facilitate links between classrooms in Australia and primarily South Korea. The project has grown considerably since the establishment of an MOU with the Daegu District Office in late 2015. We provide advice and training for teachers in the project relating to engagement and curriculum planning as well as telecommunications use. The project is forming partnerships with new organisations to extend its ability to provide improved cultural and language understanding between our two countries. These include a number of Universities who are interested in providing courses for education students in the development of telecommunication suitable curriculum.
