Project Description

A documentary film exploring the life and death of an Australian soldier in the Korean War. From 1950 to 1953 a combined United Nations force fought to prevent the Korean peninsula from being overtaken by Chinese and North Korea Communist aggressors. Colonel Charles Hercules Green was one of 17,000 Australians called up to assist in this great task, happening so soon after the end of the Second World War. It was partly because of this, and the inconclusive nature of the end of the conflict, that the Korean War has largely being forgotten by many Australians.

This film intends to demonstrate the losses felt by those both abroad and at home as a result of this brutal war, and also the great achievements and lasting legacy of those involved.
