Project Description
We propose to host the 6th AKC2018 conference in Brisbane in conjunction with the Korean Academy of Scientists and Engineers Association in Australasia (KASEA). KASEA is a non-profit professional organization established in 2009 to foster cooperation between Australia and Korea. To reinforce this objective, AKC2018 will bring Korean scientists working in the Asia-Pacific region and Australian scientists together in Brisbane. The theme "The Fourth Industrial Revolution – Shaping Our Future" focuses on the importance of fostering bilateral R&D collaboration between the two countries. It aims to develop friendship, exchange knowledge and ideas, promote science and technology, and enrich society. For this, we have prepared rich and diverse conference programs, such as the Australia-Korea strategic science programs, technology programs, an innovation cooperation RoundTable Forum, a Young Generation Program, a Women scientists forum, and Technical and Poster sessions. This event provides valuable opportunities for cooperation between Asia-Pacific region Korean scientists and Australian scientists.
