Project description
Shaun Parker & Company will undertake a cultural exchange centred around performances of dance theatre work TROLLEYS at outdoor sites during Downtown Cairo Arts Festival in 2018. TROLLEYS is a highly accessible family friendly work featuring a ballet for five shopping trolleys and arresting music score. TROLLEYS is part dance, part ballet, part outdoor spectacle.
Alongside performances of this hugely popular work, visiting artists will lead workshops with local artists and the community based on found objects in performance, and a focussed mentorship with an emerging Cairo based choreographer will be undertaken.
