Project Description
The Australian Fashion Chamber (AFC) is a not-for-profit organisation united by the vision to strengthen, promote and develop Australian fashion design. The AFC's Designers Abroad Showroom is a business development program created to promote international recognition of Australian designers amongst key target markets during both the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter seasons. Working to engage local press and retail buyers from around the globe, the showroom is open only to designers carefully selected by the AFC as being capable of growing internationally and representing the best of Australian design talent. In the lead-up to the event, the AFC works collaboratively with designers to ensure that they are well prepared to meet the demands of the global fashion marketplace. Designers will also be offered sales, marketing and media support as part of the event, to expand their respective businesses.
