Project Description

The James Morrison Academy of Music is a dedicated Jazz school in partnership with the University of South Australia. The James Morrison Academy Jazz Orchestra will embark on the first of many annual tours to the USA in January 2017. Led by James Morrison himself, highlights of the tour include: participating in and performing at the internationally acknowledged Jazz Educators Network Conference (New Orleans), performing at world leading Jazz at Lincoln Centre (New York City) and the Australian Embassy (Washington, DC), collaborating on projects with the pre-eminent Juilliard School (New York City) and world renowned University of North Texas (Dallas). The tour is precursor to an exclusive exchange partnership with the Juilliard School planned for 2017.
