Project description

The Australian Nepali Film Exchange brings together leading filmmakers from Australia and Nepal. The inaugural edition of the exchange features Jen Peedom from Australia and Kesang Tseten from Nepal. Jen and Kesang will screen their films as part of the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival. Each filmmaker will conduct a masterclass in conjunction with the screenings, and engage in discussion panels around the different challenges, solutions and motivations for filmmaking in each country. The Exchange aims to develop networks, friendships and cultural understanding between the two countries who, with an explosion of Nepalis studying, working and living in Australia, are currently developing closer relationships.
