The Portraits & Mirrors Exhibition was launched on International Women’s Day in March 2020 by then Secretary Frances Adamson. The exhibition features portraits of the Australian women first appointed to Head of Mission, Heads of Post or thematic Ambassador roles throughout DFAT’s history.

The Portraits & Mirrors Exhibition will continue to be updated as more trailblazing women are appointed to represent Australia overseas at the highest levels.
