Pacific Research Program: Independent Review and Management Response

Summary of publications

An Independent Review assessed the performance of the Pacific Research Program, a five-year (2017-2022) $28.25 million investment in Pacific research delivered by the Australian National University and the Lowy Institute. The investment contributed to the goal of economic resilience, poverty reduction, security and stability in the Pacific region through the production of research to inform evidence-based policy-making and program design by the Australian Government and its partner governments and organisations. The Pacific Research Program agreement was amended in March 2019 to incorporate a larger program of work on labour mobility.

The management responses outline planned actions by DFAT and partners in response to the independent review.
