Indonesia hosted the Third Intersessional Meeting of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Trade Negotiating Committee (TNC) on 18-19 July in Jakarta, Indonesia. The meeting was attended by the lead negotiators of the 16 RCEP participating countries and the respective leads for trade in goods, trade in services and investment negotiations.

The TNC engaged in extensive discussions to find resolutions to outstanding market access issues prior to the Fourth RCEP Ministerial Meeting, scheduled for 5 August in Vientiane, Lao PDR. The TNC also discussed issues regarding RCEP's scope, such as the inclusion of chapters on government procurement and movement of natural persons.
