About us
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) focuses on developing and implementing foreign, trade and development policy, negotiating international agreements, delivering an effective aid program, and providing high quality consular assistance. DFAT offers services to Australians overseas through a network of diplomatic and consular missions. DFAT also maintains a domestic network of offices in state and territory capital cities to help advance Australia's foreign policy, trade and development interests.
DFAT's South Australia State Office provides a range of services in support of our Portfolio Ministers, assisting the South Australian Government in its overseas endeavours, engaging with South Australian business, academia and the community sector and assisting the general public, where needed, with consular services.
The South Australia State Office also can assist South Australian businesses with interests in trade and investment overseas. We aim to raise awareness and understanding in South Australia of foreign affairs and trade issues and to assist business and State government to make the most of international trade opportunities.
