Indonesia reality check main study findings: Listening to poor people's realities about basic education

Summary of publication

This Reality Check looks into how activities under the Australia Indonesia Basic Education Program have changed the lives of people living in poverty.

The study was commissioned by the Basic Education Program's Contractor Strategic Advisory Services (CSAS) to gain insights into the on-the-ground realities resulting from the investment in basic education.

The report presents findings about access and quality of education for poor households from a range of geographical areas. It complements and supplements other evaluations undertaken by the Australia Indonesia Basic Education Program.

The study also provides some tentative recommendations for future programming consideration.
