This Aid Program Performance Report (APPR) outlines the progress against the objectives of the Australian Government's bilateral aid program to Samoa as articulated in the Australia-Samoa Aid Partnership Arrangement 2016-19. Our three mutually agreed objectives are:
- enabling economic growth
- advancing health and education outcomes, and
- strengthening governance.
Good progress has been reported in the enabling of economic growth and strengthening of governance. Australia remains Samoa's largest bilateral aid donor, with total Australian aid to Samoa in 2018-19 amounting to $34 million, including $23.6 million in bilateral assistance.
