High level visits to Samoa

  • April 2024: Deputy Prime Minister, the Hon Tuala Tevaga Iosefo Ponifasio visited Sydney to attend the World Customs Organisations Regional Heads Meeting.
  • November 2023: Minister for Police and Prisons, the Hon Faualo Harry Jeffrey Schuster visited Australia for the handover of Samoa's new Guardian-class Patrol Boat, the Nafanua III in Perth and high-level meetings in Canberra.
  • September 2023: Minister for the Environment and Water, Tanya Plibersek and Assistant Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Jenny McCallister travelled to Apia to attend the 31st Secretariate of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) meeting.
  • July 2023: Minister for Women, Community and Social Development, the Hon Mulipola Anarosa Ale Molioo visited Brisbane to attend the FIFA Women's World Cup Gender Equality Symposium.
  • June 2023: His Excellency General the Hon David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), former Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia travelled to Apia on a bilateral visit.
  • April 2023: Minister for International Development and the Pacific, Pat Conroy, travelled to Apia for a bilateral visit.
  • March 2023: Prime Minister the Hon Fiamē Naomi Mata'afa visited Canberra, Brisbane, Uluru and Tasmania on a Guest of Government visit.
  • September 2022: Minister for Natural Resources and Environment, the Hon Toeolesulusulu Cedric Pose Salesa Schuster and Minister for Women, Community and Social Development, the Hon Mulipola Anarosa Ale Molioo visited Brisbane to attend the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction.

  • August 2019: then Deputy Prime Minister Fiamē Naomi Mata'afa visited Perth to formally receive Samoa's new Guardian-class Patrol Boat under the Pacific Maritime Security Program.
  • November 2018: then Prime Minister Tuilaepa visited Brisbane en route to the APEC meeting in Port Moresby.
  • August 2018: then Minister for Foreign Affairs Julie Bishop and then Minister for International Development and the Pacific Concetta Fierravanti-Wells visited Apia.
