Joint Australia-Korean Workshop - Bioengineered Materials for Medicine
Credit: Simon Moulton

Project description

Bioengineering is a multidisciplinary field and calls upon a board talent pool both domestically and internationally to solve many health issues. This project will strength bioengineering research within Australia and Korea through facilitating joint workshops and student exchange to explore synergistic areas of bioengineering research expertise to tackle key health issues. The initial focus will be in active surface development for improved drug delivery as well as new materials for implantable technologies. The workshops will bring together researches and medical practitioners to share ideas and strategies that would facilitate the establishment of new research teams and projects. In addition, through connecting researchers and practitioners it is envisaged that new breakthrough technologies can translate through to end users and stakeholders in the medical industry.
