Project description

The project links Australian and Korean academics/practitioners in aid for Pacific Islands. Australia's key interests lie there; Korea begins to pay attention to Pacific Islands countries. Cooperation between the two has strategic value for Australia. The relevance of the project is demonstrated by 5th Australia-Republic of Korea High Level Consultations on Development Cooperation held in March 2019 where cooperation in the Pacific Islands region was a key topic. The project will enhance mutual understanding on aid policies and geopolitics there.
