Project description

We will hold exhibitions of photographs and records of Australian missionaries left by the Mackenzie family in the 1900s as well as related events and seminars in the two countries for three years. These exhibitions and events will show the Australian missionaries love and devotion for Korea during the era of poverty and persecution and how Koreans repaid them for their kindness. The touching stories of their friendship will impress people of both countries, on the upcoming '60th anniversary of Korea and Australia's diplomatic relations'. We will carry out systematic and continuous research on "Australian missionaries' work in Korea" by cooperating with researchers from the two countries.
