Australia’s development program
Partnerships for Social Protection (P4SP) is an Australian Government program established to help stimulate economic growth and reduce vulnerability, poverty and exclusion by expanding quality, sustainable social protection systems in Pacific Island countries and Timor-Leste.
P4SP supports and complements other Australian investments in social protection in the region, partnering with governments to design and strengthen social protection systems. It also supports regional networking, learning and knowledge sharing on social protection.
DFAT supports a web-based social protection knowledge platform, socialprotection.org hosted by the United Nations Research Institute for Social development (UNRISD).
The socialprotection.org platform collates publications, hosts regular webinars, online discussion fora and communities of practice around specific topics. It provides practical tools, guidance and training on social protection issues.
