Australia China-Council successful grant recipients 2015-16

The Australia-China Council (ACC) is pleased to announce the successful grant recipients for 2015-16.

The ACC awarded funding to 30 projects in the strategic priority areas of Arts & Culture, Education and Economic Diplomacy and Australian Studies in China.

The ACC Chair, the Hon Warwick Smith AM, said:

"I congratulate all the successful grant recipients in the 2015-16 grant round. ACC grants have supported hundreds of projects between Australia and China, and build important people-to-people and cultural links that enhance the bilateral relationship. Applications for this year's grant round, coming at a high-water mark in the bilateral relationship over the past forty years, were of exceptionally high quality and demonstrate the innovation, creativity, commitment and strong linkages between Australia and China. The Board agonised over selecting only 30 projects from 219 outstanding expressions of interest with the total requested funding of over $7 million. I thank my fellow Board members for their commitment and dedication in reviewing the grant applications."
