Project description:

To establish a Women Researchers Engineers' Network (WREN) led by The University of Wollongong (Australia) and the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil). The project will be launched in April and will support a series of online meetings and events in Brazil and Australia to increase research and teaching collaboration and to enable the sharing of technologies between both countries.

Resource Recovery from Mine Waste in Australia, Mexico and Chile

Biennale of Sydney digital program with Alta Tecnología Andina (ATA)

Project description:

The Biennale of Sydney is a renowned exhibition of international contemporary art, the third oldest biennial in the world after Venice and Sao Paulo. In 2021, the Biennale of Sydney and ATA will present a digital cultural knowledge exchange program in the lead up to the 2022 Biennale of Sydney exhibition. Led by Biennale Artistic Director, Colombian Curator, Jose Roca, this project involves exploring rivers of Peru and Australia from a research, sustainability and creative perspective.

Economic Recovery for Women through Construction Trades and Digital

This project is an employment and skills development program for women in Latin America. It will facilitate economic recovery and independence through education, training, employment and increased entrepreneurships and capability development in the construction trades. Joint Australia-Argentina AgTech Ecosystem Pilot Project

Project description:

The AgTech ecosystem pilot project will be led by Aglive, an AgTech company based in regional Australia. The project involves collaboration between leading Australian and Argentine AgTech providers and two farm operations in both Australia and Argentina as well as allied agricultural processing facilities and other service providers. The project will develop a ‘proof of concept' report to identify pathways for future collaboration and quantification of the operational and productivity benefits of integrated AgTech services.

The project focuses on supporting the economic recovery of the Latin American region. It will involve the use of digital tools to establish partnerships with industry associations based in the region, leveraging on ALABC's reputation and recognised brand, for a unified approach under a single private sector entity to foster sustainable, innovative business growth of trade and investment between Australia and the Latin American region.

The University of Technology Sydney and AgI-PUC-Rio will develop an online platform and run webinars to serve as an innovation digital hub to foster interactions between Australian and Brazilian businesses and other parties related to the circular economy. This project supports innovation collaborations that contribute to economic recovery post-COVID by exploring sustainable development challenges and opportunities faced by stakeholders in both countries.
